Karl Mohler

Sous Chef

Karl was born in Tampa, and raised 35 miles North in Dade City.  As a youth, he showed animals at the county fair, and got his start in the culinary world by entering, and winning, multiple youth baking contests.  As a teen, he entered into the broad spectrum of food arts by entering the school's culinary program. He was a member of the team that won the inaugural Kumquat Festival's youth cooking contest. He later attended American Culinary Arts at The Academy.  Upon going on externship, he came to Bern's Steak House, quickly learning the whole kitchen, maneuvering from being a line cook, to fish fabrication, and meat cutting. Now, over a decade later, he humbly helps lead the crew through a vast array of ingredients to make each meal at Haven a memorable experience for our guests.
